snap!

Message from Mommy-----

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on. (~Robert Frost)

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and hugs over this past difficult week. We are very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. And Jaxon's smile and laugh sure do help a lot too.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here's what we've been up to over the weekend:

Dad taught me how to throw snaps. We threw them all over the front steps. I left a few so that the mail man would step on them and be surprised.

Snaps are pretty cool. But I think I prefer the real thing. Sparklers!

On Sunday we had uncle Eddy, auntie Jenny, and grandma and grandpa over for dinner to celebrate uncle Eddy's birthday.
Grandma dressed me up like a girl. What is she trying to do to me?

But then she took me for a spin in the dumptruck, so I forgave her. We had SO much fun!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

my dad, the graduate

This weekend, mommy and me threw a surprise graduation party for dad. We invited a bunch of friends and family over to let him know how proud we are of him for graduating from the Carlson School of Business with his MBA. I hope he had fun, even if he did have to cook and clean for his own party!
I had lots of girlfriends to play with! Here I am showing them how to play with my puzzles. I'm giving Addison the cold shoulder because she wouldn't let me kiss her earlier. Gotta play a little hard to get with girls these days.
Here's me and aunty Jenny. Everyone keeps trying to get me to look at the camera. But I know grandma is right there with more strawberries and I am way more interested in that!

Here's me playing with grandma and grandpa. They gave me lots of food today. I'm stuffed!

Here's dad after his ceremony- we were all really proud of him, and grandma seemed especially happy that he did not wear jeans for the ceremony. Good job dad. Wish I could have been there watching you get your degree.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to the best, most fun, kindest mom in the world. I love you mom, even if I can't say it yet!

Mom and I had such a fun weekend- we went to West Fargo to hang out with Grandma Walker while all the grown up boys were fishing. I don't get to go yet. But I had way more fun playing with Max and Carly and running circles around Grandma, literally! I think she is gonna be tired today ;-)

I'm sorry I kept stealing the strawberries from you- you deserve a little piece of strawberry... but it's just so funny teasing you!

This cat is so silly. He just lays there all day, but his tail keeps flapping all over the place.

We also got to pretend like it was New Year's Eve with grandma's noisemakers. It took me awhile of making mom blow on this one, but I finally figured it out and could do it myself.

Thanks for the fun weekend grandma- can't wait to see you again!

fun in the sun

Sorry to all my blog friends, for neglecting you for so long. I have been traveling, meeting girls, and getting into bar room brawls.

This past weekend mom, dad, and me went to Sacramento, California where lots of our favorite people are- the Hoods & Day. We got to fly on a big airplane (I was the most well behaved toddler on board of course), ate some spicy chicken at El Centro, went to a wedding, and played at Fairy Tale Land. Here is my photo journal of the trip:

I love that water. I really really really wanted to go swim in the fountains. But, we had a wedding to attend. Drats!

I'm lookin' gooooooooooooood. No wonder Samantha was chasing me all night and trying to crawl into small spaces with me.
Not really sure this high chair was made for both of us to fit underneath, but we gave it a shot.

This is me, right after Carol pushed me down to the ground and I skinned my lip. Mom and dad were freaking out. Okay, Carol didn't do it. It was the ground that jumped out at me and tripped me. There was a lot of blood, but since dad had his Raiders hat on, people just thought we were normally like this.

Mom even got some blood on her shirt (see below). But we still managed to become the royal family in King Arthur's Court.

And here I am, looking gooooooooooood again.

To all our friends (family) in California- thanks for making this such a wonderful trip. We had so much fun, and so far we do not show any signs of swine flu. Can't wait to see you all again SOON!

monkeying around at the zoo

This weekend mom and dad took me to the Como zoo and Conservatory (Thanks Carol and Jeri for the membership-we'll be back here many more times!).
Mom, if you line up palm fronds in an interlocking pattern, you can build yourself a new basket or purse. That way daddy won't have to see a charge for a new Hobo purse on the monthly statement.
Here I am up close with a sea otter. I know Aunt Carol loves otters too. Wonder how I can get in there and take a bath with him?
This is a wooly monkey. Daddy says I act a lot like a monkey, and now that I look closely, I do see a strong resemblance.

Are you sure I can't go swim with the fishies? The sign just says "Please don't feed fish." I don't see anything about swimming in the pond.

big red dog and other fun things!

This was another fun-filled weekend. Mom and dad took me to see Clifford the Big Red Dog at the Minnesota Children's Museum. My favorite part of the museum though was the water room-- so much 'wa wa'! I got to splash and play with bubbles. It was so much fun!

This is the closest I got to Clifford. There were lots of big kids who wanted to trample me, so I just took the high road, and had mom hold me up in a picture next to him. He's a big red dog.

This was my favorite room- the water room. Dad is putting bubbles on my head and some lady is cooing over how cute I am.

Now this machine was fun. Everyone else was using it to dry their hands, but I thought, hey, I can stick my face up there and it shoots warm air at me. Maybe it will dry up my runny nose that hasn't seemed to stop running for the past two months.

Metro Transit wants to put me in their advertisements... how not to catch the bus. Kids, look, don't try this at home. I'm an experienced professional. Everyone knows, you go in front of a bus, you die.

Daddy can't ice fish anymore but I can! I'm catching a big walleye, only I can't seem to get it out of the glass hole it's in.

Dad, I know how to build an igloo. Mommy taught me. She was born in one.

Here's mommy and me, taking a break, eating some fruit snacks. Mommy looks like she had one too many fruit snack!

Here's us at the end of the day... I'm so tired I can't keep my head up. Mommy's just sad we're out of fruit snacks.

I can't wait to see where I get to go next weekend...

Fsh!

This weekend was action-packed as always. Mom and dad painted a bunch on Saturday but while they were taking a break, they took me to the Mall of America-- my first time there! We went to Underwater World where we waited almost an hour to see fifteen minutes of tanks with fish that we probably could have seen at Cabella's for free. But, boy! Was it fun!

Fsh. Fsh. Fsh. Fsh!

I don't think I want to touch that daddy.

Just chillin with my homies...
